What To Expect Next - Winter Season 2023/2024
The Winter 2023/24 Season will be here before you know it! We are excited to have you join us and appreciate your support. Communication is key to ensure the success of the league. Over the course of this season, we will be sending you emails with information you will need this season. Due to this being a mass email system, please check your filters to make sure that messages do not get lost in your junk mail folder.
Included are answers to some common questions you may have. If you have any others, please email us at [email protected], or call 408-370-0500. Winter registration opens October 1st. November 5th is the last day to register and receive guaranteed placement on a team. After November 5th, registration is based on availability and is not guaranteed. Once registration is full, we will build a waitlist and fill openings on a first come - first served basis. A $25.00 increase in registration may apply and athletes will be placed on any team that has openings in their grade division. Buddy requests are less likely to be met during late registration. |

Important Dates:
October 1st: Winter registration begins.
November 5th: Last day for guaranteed placement on a team. Late registration begins. After 11/5/23, registration is based upon availability and buddy and coach requests cannot be guaranteed.
November 6th - 26th: Registration continues on a space-available basis. We will be forming teams, confirming coaches, creating schedules and more during this time.
November 27th: All rosters and schedules will be posted no later than Monday 11/27.
November 27th - December 2nd: Player's jersey, flag belt and flags, shorts, and mouth guard and any additional equipment purchased at registration will be arriving at ship-to address provided at registration. Check your email for tracking information, reach out to us at [email protected] by Wednesday 11/29 if no tracking information has been received. Coaches and team managers will be shipped coach shirts and an official NFL FLAG game football for use by the team Winter season.
November 20th @ 7:00 PM PST: Mandatory Virtual Coaches Meeting for all coaches and managers - check your email for the invitation. Families should hear from their coaches no later than November 21st.
December 3rd: The Season Begins! Meet & Greet day and first practice. Time and location posted by November 27th under SCHEDULES / STANDINGS on landing page. Teams will meet the coach and participate in the first practice. Bring your mouth guard, jersey and flags!
December 10th: Game Week 1 - Practice is held 1 hour PRIOR to game time listed each week. Check your schedule under SCHEDULES / STANDINGS.
December 17th: Game Week 2
December 24th: BYE week - No practice or game. Christmas Eve.
December 31st: BYE week - no practice or game. New Year's Eve.
January 7th: Game Week 3
January 14th: BYE week - no practice or game. Martin Luther King.
January 21st: Game Week 4
January 28th: Game Week 5
February 4th: Game Week 6 - last game day of the season, all teams have a game today*
*Lombardi and Shula - follow posted schedule for game week 6
*Madden playoffs & Championship game berths and times are based upon season standings and will be posted by January 31st.
February 11th: Make Up Date - Initiated by 49ers Varsity Flag Management if a qualifying cancellation occurs.
EQUIPMENT:
*NFL FLAG 49ers jersey, flag Belt with flags, pocket-less shorts, mouth guard and any additional merchandise you ordered during your registration will be shipped directly to your home.
*Shorts and/or sweatpants without pockets are to be worn during practice and games. If a participant wears shorts/pants with pockets, the pockets need to be taped down for participant's safety.
*Participants can wear any type of plastic molded cleats or sneakers.
MERCHANDISE CONCERNS:
If you are missing equipment, ordered or received incorrect sizing, or have any questions in regard to your merchandise, PLEASE FILL OUT A MERCHANDISE INQUIRY TICKET (CLICK HERE). Please note that 49ers jerseys with lettering, and mouth guards, are a final sale. Replacement of your jersey due to incorrect size or customization ordered will require a charge.
COMMON QUESTIONS:
WHEN WILL I HEAR FROM MY COACH?
We are hosting our virtual coaches meeting the evening of November 20th. You should hear from your coach no later than November 21st.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY EQUIPMENT?
Once we complete putting teams together, we will send all rosters to our inventory department who will begin to pack and ship out individual equipment to each player and each volunteer. You should expect your NFL FLAG jersey, flag belts, and any other equipment you may have purchased no later than your scheduled Meet & Greet. You must bring a mouth guard to every practice and game. They will be available at the field for $5 each week.
