2024 Mid-Winter Flag Football

Are you ready for some football?

Join the largest youth flag football organization in the country!

This 7-practice/6-game season held on Sundays is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. We try to limit teams to 10-11 players to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first-time players who want to learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who want to continue enhancing their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football. There are no try-outs! Everyone participates!

Games will take place between 10:00 am - 7:00 pm on Sunday afternoons (subject to change depending on field availability and league size). Exact schedules will be created and posted 1-2 weeks prior to the season start date. Practices take place one hour prior to game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all! Schedule times can vary from week to week and slight changes may occur to the schedule after initial posting.

The MOJO App will show your individual roster and schedules, including your meet and greet time, practices, and games. There is also a team chat function to stay in contact with coaches and other players on the team. Once rosters are confirmed, you will get a notification that the team pages are ready.

Participants will receive a personalized Varsity 49ers NFL FLAG reversible jersey and flag belt, theirs to keep! (Refer to our sizing chart for jerseys as the NFL FLAG styles/sizes have recently been updated) Other 49ers perks include a 49er's t-shirt and draw string bag, invitation to the annual 49ers flag football Jamboree with a visit to the 49er's museum, membership to the 49ers Kids Club, and a Chalk-Talk webinar with special guest 49ers alumni or staff.

Pre-Kindergarten thru 3rd Grade divisions (Lombardi and Shula) will receive individual participation awards at the end of the season. Madden divisions (4th thru 8th grade) will participate in playoff games on the last day of the season - 1st and 2nd place teams will receive awards!

Our program relies on volunteer parents to coach our teams! Each team will have up to 3 volunteers assigned. We encourage all parents interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. Positions available are Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Team Manger. We will provide several resources along with a comprehensive coach meeting to ensure all coaches have a fun and successful season!

IMPORTANT DATES:

November 1st: Registration opens.

December 10th: last date to register with guaranteed team placement.

After December 10th: Registration is on space-available basis and could require additional fees.

January 11th, 2024, 7:00 PM: Virtual Coaches Meeting webinar for all volunteers

January 21st, 2024: Season Start Date (Meet and Greet)

January 28th, 2924: Game Week 1

February 4th: Game Week 2

February 11th: Game Week 3

February 18th: Blackout Date / BYE week (no practice or games)

February 25th: Game Week 4

March 3rd: Game Week 5

March 6th: Madden Playoff game berths and times posted.

March 10th: Season expected end date - Game Week 6, Madden playoffs. All teams will have a game!

Possible Makeup Date: March 17th, 2024 (It is common for 49ers Flag to use this data for weather delays and/or field conflicts)

Grades: Pre-K-8th grade

Ages: 4-14

Registrations will be accepted after the deadline based on the availability of teams and will be subject to up to a $10.00 late fee.

All jerseys, flag belts and flags, shorts, mouth guard, & merchandise purchased will be sent directly to the ship-to address provided during the registration process. A $12.99 shipping fee will be added to all participant's registrations.
